What Happened

The annual home inspection found the licensee in ratio and the home generally safe, but recordkeeping issues were identified in children's files and staff qualifications. The inspector also noted that the emergency drill schedule was behind and that a helper was present without the required clearance.

Observations

  • one infant under 12 months was missing the LIC 9227 form
  • two of six children's files reviewed needed updated immunization records
  • the helper was present without a criminal record clearance
  • the helper also lacked documentation for mandated reporter training and immunization records
  • the last emergency drill had been conducted in January 2023 and an additional drill was requested
