What Happened
Unannounced annual inspection found the home out of ratio, with a Type A deficiency cited. The inspector also noted missing current CPR/First Aid coverage, expired mandated reporter certificates, no parent sign-in/sign-out process, and unsafe outdoor conditions including a drop-off, broken items, exposed nails, standing water, and loose deck boards.
Observations
- The facility was out of ratio and this was cited as a Type A deficiency
- No one in the home had current CPR/First Aid
- Parents and authorized adults did not sign children in and out
- The rear yard had multiple hazards and was removed from on limits until re-inspected
- Outdoor play area contained a drop of about 3-4 feet, broken/unclean toys and structures, exposed nails, loose boards, standing water, and other hazards
