Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Sherelle Johnson and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kayla Merchant conducted an informal office meeting today with licensee, Eliza Bonneaud. During the meeting, discussed was the seriousness of inappropriate interactions with day care children and Care and Supervision. Licensee states that she takes responsibility for the incidents that occurred at her facility. She states that it highlighted an area for growth within her and her assistants when providing supervision of the children. Licensee states her 2 assistants have taken active supervision training on the Head Start website. Licensee also states that furniture was rearranged and the door was taken off the play structure to provide more adequate supervision. LPM Johnson reminded licensee the importance of appropriate supervision, maintaining compliance with licensing and compartmentalization as a child care provider. LPM reiterated to the licensee that she can contact her LPA with any questions or concerns. Licensee was informed that compliance is extremely important and will weigh heavily in our decision for any future administrative action against the license.
