What the inspector wrote

On December 18, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lorraine Dacanay Breaux met with Licensee Anil Aeimula for an Unannounced Annual Random Required 1 Year Inspection . LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the licensee. Present during the inspection was the licensee and licensee's fingerprint cleared two assistants and 11 children in care, (preschool age children). Licensee stated that the facility operates from Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The facility is a single story home consisting of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, dining area, kitchen, attached two car garage, and backyard which are neat and clean with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. The off-limits areas will be made inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. On-Limit Areas: Livingroom/dining room (main day care area), kitchen, backyard and deck, and main bathroom (left side of the hallway). Off- Limit : All three (3) bedrooms which includes master bedroom and bathroom, left side and right side of the yard (fenced off) and two car garage. Isolation area will be a section of the living room, away from other children in care, until parents arrive. The licensee tested the dual smoke and carbon monoxide detector located in the hallway and found it to be functioning properly. The home is equipped with a working telephone, and a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, which meets the standards established by the State Fire Marshal. Per licensee there are no fire arms in the home. 809-C Outdoor play area is located in the backyard and is fully fenced and in good condition with no hazardous materials accessible to children in care. There are no other pools, hot tubs, or any other bodies of water present in the on-limit areas during today\342\200\231s inspection. Licensee confirmed there are no pools/bodies of water at the home. The licensee completed the Health and Safety training, CPR/First Aid certification expires on 05/18/27. The licensee is in compliance with the immunization laws and has completed the mandated reporter training on 07/29/2025. Licensee is reminded of their responsibility to renew CPR/First Aid and Mandated Reporter certificates every two years. The licensee conducts and documents fire and disaster drills twice a year and the last conducted drill was on 12/15/2025. All required forms are posted and visible for public review. Records: LPA requested and reviewed 4 children\342\200\231s files and personnel records. All children\342\200\231s files contained Identification & Emergency Information, Parent\342\200\231s Rights, and Medical Consent forms. During the record review, LPA checked the health records of the licensee and found that the licensee is in compliance with immunization requirements applicable to all childcare providers. Criminal Record Clearance: Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. MyChildCarePlan.org: Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. Page 2 of 3 ***Continued on LIC 809C*** Incidental Medical Services (IMS): Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Per licensee does not administer medication. Unusual Incident/Student Injury Report: Effective August 1, 2003 California Law requires Child Care Licensees to report unusual incidents or injuries to children in care to child\342\200\231s parents and to the Department of Social Services using the Unusual Incident/Injury Form (LIC 624). Incidents must be reported within 24 hours to the regional office by phone and the written report, LIC 624, within 7 business days. Megan\342\200\231s Law: During the exit interview, the licensee, Anil Aeimula confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. There are no deficiency issued today. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Appeal rights were given and reviewed.
