Facility-requested visit·June 4, 2025

On June 4, 2025 at 2:50 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elimika Woods met with licensee Jayanti Chand for an unannounced CASE MANAGEMENT inspection to change the inactive status back to active. There were no children present during this inspection. Hours of operation is Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The home was toured with the licensee to conduct a health and safety inspection around 2:55 PM. LPA asked the licensee if there were any weapons or firearms in the home and the licensee stated that they were no weapons of any kind in the home. LPA checked the cabinets in the on limit areas which includes the kitchen, living and dining room, hallway bathroom, downstairs bedroom, childcare room, and any other cabinets or drawers accessible to children in care and did not observe any hazardous materials or toxins accessible to children during today\342\200\231s inspection. The On-Limits areas of the home : Living and dining rooms, kitchen, hallway bathroom on first level, bedroom next to bathroom on first level, childcare room (converted garage) and left and middle backyard areas The isolation area of the home is the downstairs bedroom, away from other children in care The Off-Limits areas of the home : Entire second level of home, backyard patio deck, laundry room, and right side yard beginning from the patio deck stairs. The off-limits will be made inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. The home has a gate at the bottom of the stairs to prevent children five years or younger access to the upper level of the home. This home has a fireplace that's blocked to prevent access by children in the living room. LPA asked the licensee does she plan to transport children in care and the licensee stated that she does and provided LPA Woods with a copy of her current California Driver's License. LPA tested the dual smoke and carbon monoxide detector in the dining room and found it to be functioning properly. The licensee showed me her first aid kit that she keeps in the childcare room. This home has a working telephone and a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher which meets standards established by the State Fire Marshall. 809-C. At 3:25 PM, LPA inspected the backyard area to make sure that there are no pools, hot tubs or any other bodies of water present that violates the childcare licensing laws and there were none, during today's inspection. The OUTDOOR PLAY area is the fully fenced backyard and LPA observed that it is free from defects or dangerous conditions. During today's inspection, there are no play structures which are required to be anchored. There are ample age-appropriate toys that appear to be safe and in good condition. There's an awning and trees on the left side-yard for children in care to use for shade while at play. The licensee also has plants and fruit trees in the middle section of the backyard for children to explore. Effective 06/04/2025, this facility is placed on active status and LPA advised licensee she will receive a new license in the mail.
