What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melanie Otsuji conducted an unannounced Case Management - Licensee initiated inspection on today's date, 10/19/2021. LPA was met by Director, Deval Mistry. Present during today's visit were 5 infant aged children and 2 staff members. The center has submitted an application for a CAPACITY INCREASE to the INFANT COMPONENT . Also on site is a preschool component (CAPACITY 70) operating out of 4 classrooms and a gymnasium. INFANT COMPONENT is currently requesting to increase from 8 infants to 16 infants. A health and safety inspection was conducted inside and outside. Facility days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6:30AM - 6:00PM . Currently due to the COVID-19 pandemic temporary operating hours are: 7:30AM - 5:30PM. The facility measurement was completed on a previous visit and measurements are follows: INDOORS: 1020.73 SQUARE FEET = 29 CHILDREN OUTDOORS: 2178.00 SQUARE FEET = 29 CHILDREN The center has obtained an approved fire clearance from Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department for 86 children which includes 70 preschoolers which includes the option to have up to 12 toddlers, and 16 infants. Building Kidz of Livermore has an Infant Component and will have 2 approved classrooms (Zinnia and Aster). Facility will also have 1 play yard available for the infant/toddlers (Infant/Toddler Play yard). The infant rooms are equipped with varied age appropriate materials and equipment. There is space for 8 crib aged children. There are 2 sinks available for children use. Potty chairs will be made available for any children learning to potty train. The staff have a separate bathroom in which will also serve as an isolation bathroom. All licensing required documents are posted. Zero Tolerance policies were explained. Notice of Site Visit form was provided and posted. The center was found to be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair. There were no deficiencies cited during this visit. A license for 16 infant aged children operating out of Zinnia and Aster rooms will be issued effective today, 10/19/2021. An Exit Interview was conducted with Director, Deval Mistry.
