Inspector’s narrative
What the inspector wrote
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini met with Interim Director Pooja Tiberwal for an unannounced Annual Random Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the director. The Executive Director, Gagandeep Tulsi, and owner, Kiran Vuriti, arrived during the inspection. In addition to the director, 51 children and 8 staff members were present today. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, utilizing Rooms #1 through #7. Room #7 is exclusively designated for the toddler component. Due to low enrollment, the facility is not currently using Rooms #1, #2, and #7. The facility also holds a Heritage license, which operates in a separate room, Room #8, not licensed by Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD). The licensee understands that children enrolled in the Heritage program must not be commingled with children enrolled in the childcare program licensed by CCLD. During today's inspection, both indoor and outdoor areas were inspected for health and safety hazards. The facility has a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, fully charged fire extinguisher, and a functional telephone. During today\342\200\231s inspection, No bodies of water were observed, and the interim director confirmed that there are no firearms on the premises. The Center is in good condition, with appropriate temperature and ventilation, and is free from hazards. Each classroom is equipped with age-appropriate furniture and toys, all of which are in good repair. A first aid kit and backpack are available, and medications are stored on high shelves in each classroom, inaccessible to children. A medication review revealed that all medications are up to date. Children bring their lunch and snacks, as well as their water bottles, which are refilled by the facility using water fountains as needed. Fire and earthquake drills are conducted and documented, with the most recent drill logged on 02/11/2025. The facility utilizes the Procare system for signing children in and out. Eight children's files were reviewed and found to be complete. All staff presents have obtained CPR and first aid certifications, and their files include current mandated reporter certificates. The outdoor play area is fenced for supervision, and the play structure is cushioned to absorb falls. The facility roster was reviewed, and a copy was obtained.
