What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini met with director Elham Shaheidari for an unannounced Annual Random Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility. Present during the inspection, two (2) staff members supervising 15 children. The facility operates Monday \342\200\223 Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, and Fridays 9:00am to 12:30pm, in room #11. The facility also operates a private elementary school on the site in room #12. The facility understands that elementary children cannot be commingled with preschoolers. The facility was inspected indoors and outdoors today for health and safety hazards, and the following was observed. The room has a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, a fully charged fire extinguisher, and a working telephone available. All furniture is in good repair. The Center has age-appropriate toys and equipment. The program provides daily snacks, and the facility requires families to provide lunch. LPA reviewed the snack storage and observed that it was in its original packaging. Per Emergency Drill log the last Emergency Drill was conducted on 09/2025 and properly logged. The facility utilizes transparent app to sign in and out the children. During inspection, LPA did not observe any bodies of water. The director confirmed that there are no firearms stored in the facility. A review of six children's files and three staff files were completed. All staff have a criminal record clearance on file. The facility roster was reviewed, and a copy was obtained . The facility understands that the closing and opening teachers are required to have first aid and CPR. Criminal Record Clearance - Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Lead Testing \342\200\223 CCC COMPLETED TESTING Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance with the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP . Incidental Medical Services (IMS) This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. Currently, there are no children enrolled who require medications.
