What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini met with Director Neeraja Panganamala for an unannounced Annual Random Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the director. In addition to the director, 67 children and 8 staff members were present today.The facility operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. out of classrooms #1, #2, #3, and #4. The facility was inspected indoors and outdoors for health and safety hazards, and the following was observed: There is a working fire alarm system. The facility have working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a fully charged fire extinguisher, and a working telephone available. During today\342\200\231s inspection, LPA did not observe any bodies of water. The director confirmed that there are no firearms stored on the premises. The Center is in good condition, has proper temperature and ventilation, and is free of hazards. All furniture is in good repair. The Center has age-appropriate toys and equipment. A first aid kit and a first aid backpack are available. Medications are stored in backpacks, and the backpacks are hung on the wall, made inaccessible to the children. The outdoor play area is fenced for supervision, and the play structure is age-appropriate and in good condition. Per emergency log, the last emergency drill was conducted on 10/16/2025 and documented. The program provides daily snacks, and children bring their own lunch. The menu is posted in a visible location and is dated for the entire month. LPA reviewed food storage and observed that all food is in its original packaging or labeled with an expiration date. The facility utilizes the Lilio app to sign children in and out. The Center maintains a complete record of sign-in/out. The center roster was reviewed, and a copy was obtained. A review of seven children's files and six staff files was completed. see next page... During inspection, Criminal Record Clearance - Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Lead Testing \342\200\223 CCC COMPLETED TESTING Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance with the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP .
