Pre-licensing visit·October 16, 2025

On 10/16/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brindha Govindasamy met with applicant, Marian Youssef. The purpose of the visit was an announced pre-licensing inspection at the facility to ensure the health, safety and personal rights as required by Title 22 and Health and Safety Regulations governing California Child Care Centers will be met. Applicant is requesting for a new license with capacity of 40 Preschoolers ages 03 to 06 years old in classrooms 1,2,3. The childcare center will operate Monday\342\200\223Friday from 7:00AM - 6:00 PM. The fire clearance was approved on 09/11/2025. Facility is only granted to use the lower level of the building (1 st floor) by the Fire department. Facility resides on the property of St. Antonius Coptic Orthodox Church. During today's visit, LPA toured the on-limits areas and classrooms located at the facility. The facility has a total of 03 classrooms and 03 restrooms. No measurement was taken today as licensee was in process of setting up rooms including cubbies and shelves. Applicant informed LPA that she is considering to change the total capacity to 30 preschool children during the visit. LPA suggested a new LIC 200 A form to be submitted for any changes for the capacity. LPA reminded applicant that the disposal of solid waste should have tight fitting lids and restrooms should be clear of cleaning supplies. Continue to page 2 Page 2 Outdoor activity areas for preschoolers must be free of hazards including holes, grasses, and other debris that pose tripping and fire hazard. LPA observed tripping hazard of artificial grass in the play area right outside classrooms 2 and 3.There should be enough play equipment for outdoor play yard. LPA observed a slide with wear and tear of cracks and holes that needs to be replaced or repaired. Fencing around outdoor play area should be at least 4 feet high. Play area with artificial grass should be properly secured to absorbs falls. Any construction or equipment that could pose a hazard in the outdoor activity area shall be made inaccessible to children in care. LPA requested submission of photos for the above mentioned corrections. LPA will reschedule visit . The following is needed before another prelicensing visit 1. Complete set up of all rooms. 2. Age appropriate toys or Montessori equipment. 3. Have enough age appropriate outdoor play yard play equipment. 4. Fix artificial grass area to be free from tripping hazard. 5. Refrigerator and microwaves to be cleaned. 6. Install removed gate by the staircase and storage area. 7. Sufficient cots for napping children. 8. Fencing around the outdoor play yard must be at least 4 feet tall. 9. Clear all cleaning supplies from the restroom. 10..Additional items may be required based on follow up prelicensing determination. An exit interview was conducted with the above item discussed.
