What the inspector wrote

On 8/04/2025 at 2:00PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jaleesa Jackson met with Licensee Feras Ghnimat for an Annual/Random visit. Present during the inspection was the Licensee, 5 preschool aged children, and 6 school aged children. Licensee's assistant that was present but does not have a criminal background check. LPA let Licensee know that they need to her fingerprint clearance needs to be finalized before she can return. Co-Licensee Ameera Bawazir was not present when LPA arrived. The facility operates 6:00AM \342\200\223 6:00PM, Monday - Friday. LPA reminded Licensee that care provided during the day and overnight shall not exceed 24 hours from when the child entered the care. Licensee Ameera Bawazir arrived at the home at 3:30PM. ON LIMITS AREA: Living Room, Dining Area, Kitchen, Sun Room, Hallway Bathroom, and Backyard OFF LIMITS AREA: Master Bedroom/Bathroom, Bedroom #2, Garage, and Day Care room with kitchenette and Bathroom (pending fire clearance approval) ISOLATION AREA: Dining Area The facility is a single-story home rented by the Licensees. The inside of the home is observed to have age-appropriate materials for the children. During today's inspection all toxins, cleaning products, personal medications, and hazardous materials were observed to be in inaccessible areas. All off-limit areas were made inaccessible with locks and closed doors. Licensee has stated that there are no firearms. Licensees have 2 small kittens. Continued 809-C The home has a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher. There is a working combination smoke/carbon monoxide detector. The home is equipped with central heat and air for proper ventilation. Licensee provides all food for the children. All food that is brought from the children\342\200\231s home will be properly labeled and stored. Licensee stated he does transport children when school is in session. LPA reviewed 11 children's files and all were complete. Licensees' Pediatric CPR and First Aid training is complete and expire 9/2026 and 7/2027. Licensees' Mandated Reporter training is complete and expires 3/27/2027. All required forms are posted and visible for public view in the living room. Disaster drills are conducted at least every 6 months. The last disaster drill was on 3/20/2025. There was 1 deficiency cited on today's inspection. See 809-D for deficiency. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Continued 809-C Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02- CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. During the exit interview, the LICENSEES Ameera Bawazir and Feras Ghnimat, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensees Ameera Bawazir and Feras Ghnimat.
