A case management visit was conducted on 9/12/2022 at 2:45pm by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Laura Chavez. LPA met with Site Supervisor Yaneth Pimentel. The facility is operated by E Center Head Start Programs. The preschool operates Monday-Friday; 7:45am-3:00pm and the toddler program operates Monday-Friday; 8:00am-2:45pm. The licensee is requesting to add a toddler option, children ages 18- -36 months to the current preschool license. Toddler I Classroom, Toddler II Classroom and Preschool Classroom were measured for space. A capacity worksheet was completed during todays visit. A fire safety inspection approval was received on 8/26/2022 granting a clearance for 33 toddlers and 24 preschool age children for a total capacity of 57 children. Site Supervisor Yaneth Pimentel was reminded that no child in the toddler program shall be placed in the preschool program before the age of 30 months without written permission from the child's authorized representative. The toddler playground is fully fenced and physically separate from the outdoor play area used by preschool children. A rubber mat is placed underneath play equipment to absorb falls. The outdoor toddler play area was measured for space. Report continued: See LIC 809-C The following items need to be completed prior to granting the toddler option: 1. Proof of the changing table located in Toddler II Classroom being located within arms reach of a sink. 2. Manger review of toddlers and preschool age children utilizing Child Restroom located between the Toddler II Classroom and the Preschool Full Day Classroom I. An exit interview was conducted with Site Supervisor Yaneth Pimentel. Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
