Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On January 4, 2023, LPA interviewed 2 Preschool Teachers (S1 -S2). Both staff explained that there is no co-mingling, however, many school age children have younger siblings enrolled. If they are ever outside together, usually only at very end or beginning of the day, there are both preschool and school age teachers supervising. Both staff explained the age groups allowed on the play equipment and the supervision during outdoor play. Both staff deny staff yelling at children. On January 18, 2023, LPA attempted to interview 3 children (C1-C3). None of the children disclosed yelling from their teachers. During the visit the facility was toured, copies of child roster and staff records were received and reviewed. LPA observed the all classrooms and playground and did not observe any yelling or co-mingling of children. Photos were taken of play equipment and structures were researched for age requirements. All play structures are age appropriate. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Katie Love.
