What the inspector wrote

On 6/5/25 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Erica Laird conducted a case management inspection. Based on observations made during an inspection on 5/21/25, LPA Laird determined licensee was utilizing areas marked as "off limits" for children in care. Specifically, licensee was allowing children to use the back yard and back living room during daycare hours. On 5/20/25 licensee sent CCL a new facility sketch marking the back yard, kitchen, and back living room as off-limits. LPA Laird discussed the requirements for off-limit areas. On 5/21/25 during an inspection, LPA Laird observed children in the off-limit living room area while the play room was being cleaned. Licensee admitted to the children using the back yard occasionally as well. LPA Laird inspected the back living room and back yard. LPA Laird did not observe any hazards. Based on observations made,California Code of Regulations, (Title 22), Section 102416.3 is being cited on the attached LIC 809D. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Wind Tucker. Appeal rights were provided. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
