What the inspector wrote

LPA interviewed staff (S1-S5) on 6/5/24 and 4 of 5 staff stated they were not out of ratio. 3 of 5 stated no there is no shortage of staff at the facility. S2 stated that the issue they have been having is that more people call off work and then that puts them out of ratio and parents are not coming to pick up at their contracted time. S2 stated they have talked to parents about coming in at their contracted time. S3 stated that no, they are not experiencing a shortage of staff, only if someone decides to call out sick then they will try to find an extra teacher. During today’s inspection, the facility was toured. LPA observed 27 children and and six 6 teachers were present. Based on the evidence obtained, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be substantiated. California Code of Regulations, (Title 22), is being cited on the attached LIC 9099D.
