What the inspector wrote

LPA Mendez interviewed six staff (S1-S6) on 3/7/22, 3/8/22, 3/10/22, 3/17/22 and 3/29/22. LPA Mendez asked if they had been operating out of ratio, 3 out of 6 staff stated they had been operating out of ratio. LPA Mendez asked staff how often the facility was out of ratio. S1 stated that there were 14 children and 3 staff in the classroom putting them out of ratio with the infants. S2 stated that they were out of ratio and it occurred at least 2 to 3 times a week. S6 stated they were out of ratio in the infant room 4 out of 5 days a week. LPA Mendez toured facility and observed 13 infants in care and four staff present. Based on the evidence obtained, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be substantiated. California Code of Regulations, (Title 22), is being cited on the attached LIC 9099D. Appeal rights were provided and exit interview conducted. The Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 days.
