An unannounced case management inspection was conducted today at 2:30 PM by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Tammy Dutra. LPA met with facility representative Christina Wieck. It has been alleged that there was a lack of supervision at the facility. W1 shared that when they entered the playground area they did not observe an adult present with children. LPA interviewed director Christina Wieck who stated that children are never unsupervised while in care. There are times when staff are down behind the tree or play house and possibly obscured from sight but children are never left unnattended. All staff have been trained in active supervision and understand the expectations to be in compliance with 100% supervision at all times. LPA interviewed S1-S4 who all stated that they have never seen children unattended on the playground and they understand that children in care must be supervised at all times. All staff stated there are blind spots on the playground that could have contributed to a misunderstanding regarding supervision but they would never leave children without a staff member while in care. During today’s inspection, the facility was toured and LPA observed 15 children in care. Based on information gathered further investigation is needed. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Christina Wieck. Appeal rights were provided. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
