Facility-requested visit·August 7, 2023

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) E. Laird conducted a case management inspection on 8/7/2023 at the facility for an increase of capacity. The Department received an application for a capacity increase the capacity from 45 children to 61. The facility added classroom #104 to utilize for the increase in capacity. This is a non-profit facility located on the Loma Vista/Marigold Elementary School campus. LPA conducted an inspection of the facility inside and out and measured area of new room to be added to the license. LPA determined that the facility can add up to 16 children to the capacity and is eligible for a total of 45 children based on the area of the additional room. The facility has 5 toilets and 3 sinks to use which is enough to accommodate the requested increase in capacity. Fire inspection was conducted on 8/3/23 and clearance was granted to the facility for a total capacity of 69 children. There is a current waiver on file dated 9/7/22 allowing children from Little Lions to share the bathroom with children from Loma Vista's Special Education Preschool Classroom and the playground with the Innovative Preschool children (lic. #045407516). LPA determined the facility has sufficient room and amenities to accommodate the increase in capacity from 45 children to 61 and approves the increase. There were no violations observed during this visit. Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 days from today's visit.
