Correction check·April 3, 2025

On 04/03/2025 at 1:15PM Licensing Program Analysts (LPA's) Kareeca "Reeca" Sykes and Ashley Hollinger conducted a Plan of Correction Visit at YWCA of Contra Costa - Bay Point. LPA's met with Program Director, Racheal Mercado and explained the purpose of this visit. During today's visit, there are 31 preschool children with seven (7) staff in two (2) classrooms. Program Director stated there are 31 preschool children enrolled. LPA's are following up on a Plan of Correction that was given to the facility on 03/20/2025 for a Type A - Lack of Supervision citation. The facilities plan of correction was to submit a written statement to LPA's explaining how staff will supervise ALL children and if any children in care need more supervision they will have a plan and schedule to shadow those children as well as Program director and site supervisor will also have a meeting with ALL staff and explain the importance of providing visual supervision to all the children in care. Facility has submitted the plan to LPA via email on 03/21/2025 and will conduct their ALL staff meeting on 04/03/2025 and submit a sign in sheet to LPA by COB. During today's visit LPA's received the agenda for their ALL staff meeting. During today's visit, LPA's toured the facility and did a walk through of all classrooms and the facility was observed to be in ratio and all children being supervised. As of 04/03/2025, All plan of corrections for the deficiencies given on 03/20/2025 have been cleared and LPA's provided clearance letter to Program Director during today's visit. During today's visit, LPA did not observe any violations. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Program Director Racheal Mercado. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 consecutive days.
