What the inspector wrote

A Case Management inspection was conducted on this date, July 28, 2021 by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Melissa Domantay and Melissa Guirit. LPAs met with program director, Bany Noguera toured all areas of the facility for a health and safety inspection. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 8:30am, 11:20am to 6:00pm. The center has submitted a application to add a room: Room #23 in the same site (John Muir Elementary School). The center is currently approved to use the Multi-Purpose Room and being utilized exclusively when the center needs it. INDOORS: EXEMPT OUTDOORS: EXEMPT LPAs observed that the classrooms has sufficient lighting and appears to be clean and in good condition. Outdoor play area has sufficient amount of space and shade for children. LPAs observed an ample supply of age appropriate activities, equipment and furniture for indoor and outdoor use. The facility has bathrooms with sinks and toilets on the side of the portable for school age children to utilize. The classroom has a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, working combination smoke/carbon monoxide detector, and first aid supplies. There is a working telephone at the center. LPAs did not observe any hazardous items that would be accessible to children. Facility w ill be providing snacks for children, and children will use personal water bottles with access to drinking water indoors and outdoors . Parent board, Covid-19 postings, and temperature check station is located in the front entrance of facility. The directors cubicle/office will be used for ill children as the isolation area. The center has obtained an approved fire clearance from Contra Costa County Fire Department on July 13, 2021 capacity of 125 schoolage, ages 4.9 years to 12 years. Room #23 is licensed to be used on July 28, 2021 along with Multi-use room for school age. The center was found to be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair. Notice of Site Visit form was provided and posted. LPAs provided a copy of the appeal rights and the signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. Exit interview was conducted with director, Bany Noguera.
