On 12/12/2025 at 11:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christina Watts conducted an Plan of Correction visit (POC) at Contra Costa County Child Start - Los Nogales Center. LPA met with Site Supervisor II, Karla Villarpando and explained the purpose of today's inspection. During today's inspection, there were 15 preschool children in care and 3 staff in one classroom. Director stated there are 20 preschool children enrolled. LPA is following up on a Plan of Correction that was given to the facility on 12/12/2025 for a Type A - Personal Rights citation. Facility has turned in their Plan of Correction via email to LPA Watts on 12/15/2025. Also, during the visit, LPA was able to verify that parent/authorized representatives received and signed LIC 9224 - Acknowledgement of Licensing Report. LPA Watts reminded the Site Supervisor II to provide a copy of licensing report dated 12/12/2025 that documents a Type A citation(s) to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224), or other written statement, must be placed in the child's file for verification. During today's inspection, there were no violations observed. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Site Supervisor II, Karla Villarpando. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 consecutive days.
