What the inspector wrote

On 12/05/2024 at 1:30PM Licensing Program Analysts (LPA’s) Kareeca “Reeca” Sykes and. Christina Watts conducted an unannounced subsequent Complaint Investigation at KinderCare Learning Center. LPA’s met with Director Jamari Fredenburg and explained the purpose of this visit. Finding for the above allegation was delivered during the inspection. During today’s inspection there were 26 preschool children in care with 4 staff in three classrooms. Director stated there were 43 preschool students enrolled. Complainant alleges that licensee does not ensure equipment and activity areas are arranged so that there is no hazard from conflicting activities. During the course of the investigation, LPA inspected the facility, reviewed records and conducted interviews. Interviews determined that staff allows children to use the play structure incorrectly, causing C1 to be injured on equipment. Based on the interviews and information obtained throughout the investigation, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met. Therefore, the allegation is SUBSTANTIATED. A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND MUST BE POSTED FOR 30 CONSECTIVE DAYS.
