What the inspector wrote

On 1/18/23 at 1:55 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michelle Sutton conducted a unannounced Case management for Lead Testing/ exceedance at Kindercare Learning Center. LPA met with Director Paula Zimmerman and explained the purpose of today's inspection. LPA toured the facility with director for a health and safety check. The water supply in TK classroom Room 3 drinking fountain and kitchen small sink exceeded the acceptable amount of lead allowed in a child care center. The director stated that facility has not used the drinking fountain since 2020 and will be permanently ceased. Both outlets are inaccessible to children in care. The following deficiency was observed (See LIC 809-D.) and cited from the California Code of Regulations, Title 22 . A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the director Paula Zimmerman.
