What the inspector wrote

On 04/28/2026 at approximately 2:00PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Jamel Maiwandi and Dana Santiago conducted a Case Management Inspection regarding a self reported incident that occured at Kindercare Learning Center. LPAs met with site director Paula Zimmerman and explained the purpose of today's inspection. During today's inspection, there were 35 preschool children in care with 8 staff in 4 classrooms. Director stated there are 59 preschool children enrolled. LPAs are following up on an self reported Incident Report submitted to licensing on 4/10/2026. LPAs toured the facility, observed classrooms, reviewed files, and obtained relevant documents. Per report received on 4/10/2026, C1 was in classroom MA and sitting down on the carpet playing with blocks with another child and on impulse, the other child threw a block at the left side of C1's forehead. LPAs inspected the classroom and the blocks, toys, and additional play equipment that are used in the classroom. LPAs have recommended to the director that the facility have more staff in the classroom during playtime to ensure quality supervision and care. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Paula Zimmerman. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 consecutive days.
