What the inspector wrote

On 03/15/21 Licensing Program Analyst [LPA] Monica Mathur conducted an unannounced Plan of Correction [POC] inspection at Kindercare Learning Center through Facetime due to COVID 19 restrictions. LPA met with Director, Crystal Barrett and explained the purpose of today's inspection. On 02/23/21 citations were issued during a Case Management inspection, as noted below:. CCR 101170(e)(1) Criminal Record Clearance: Staff member did not have criminal record clearance. CCR 101229 (a) (1): Supervision & Care: C-1 was left without visual supervision for several minutes. CCR 101216.3 (a): Teacher Child Ratio: An Aide with no ECE units was supervising 10 children. CCR 101216.2(e) Teacher Aide Qualifications & Duties: No fully qualified teacher was present and children were being supervised by an Aide who did not have any ECE units. On 02/25/21 Director submitted to CCL a written plan of corrections for above citations. During today's POC Inspection, LPA inspected all 4 preschool rooms and observed: Toddler Room: 4 toddlers napping; 1 fully qualified teacher 2 year old room: 7 children napping; 1 fully qualified teacher Preschool room ages 3-4: 7 children napping; 2 teachers (1 fully qualified, 1 Aide) Pre-K ages 4-5: 10 children playing; 1 fully qualified teacher All staff present in the rooms have criminal record clearances and are associated to the facility. All rooms were in ratio and children were being fully supervised. Facility is in compliance with above regulations and citations issued on 02/23/21 were cleared during this inspection. Exit Interview was conducted, where this report was reviewed with Director, Crystal Barrett. Report will be sent to Director to obtain her signatures acknowledging receipt of documents.
