On 02/21/2024 at 12:30 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Christina Watts and Dealia Frison conducted a Plan of Correction (POC) Inspection at Angels Montessori Preschool - Concord. LPAs met with Director, Maryam Karampour and explained the purpose of this visit. During today's visit, there were 15 preschool aged children with 1 staff and Director in one classroom. Director stated there are 15 children enrolled. All staff caring and supervising children have Criminal Record Clearance. LPAs are following up on the Plan of Correction that was given to the facility on 02/08/2024. The facility was cited on 02/08/2024 for being out of ratio, staff leaving children unattended, hazardous items were accessible to children and staff did not provide adequate food service to day care children. Director submitted Plan of Correction to licensing on 02/09/2024. During today's inspection, facility was in ratio in accordance to California Code of Regulations, Title 22. LPAs observed snacks in the cabinets and in the refrigerator. LPAs also observed staff attending to the health, safety and personal rights of children in care. LPAs toured the facility and did not observe any hazardous item accessible to children in care. LPAs did observe parents/authorized representative signatures on LIC 9224 - Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report for Type A citation. LPA reminded Director to provide a copy of this licensing report dated 02/08/2024 that documents any Type A citation(s) to all newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. As of 02/21/2024, the Plan of Corrections have been CLEARED . LPA provided Director with Clearance Letter during today's inspection. During today's inspection, there were no violations observed. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, Maryam Karampour . A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 consecutive days.
