On 10/09/2025 at 08:41 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Ashley Hollinger and Dana Santiago arrived at the facility to conduct an UNANNOUNCED, Required Annual inspection at Lydia Sandoval\342\200\230s Family Childcare Home. LPA met with Licensee and explained the purpose of today's inspection. LPA was granted the inspection authority to enter the Home. The family childcare home days and hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 06:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Present in the home at the time of inspection were Licensee and five (5) children in care consisting of one (1) infant, two (2) preschoolers, and two (2) schoolagers. The home is a single story home which consists of four (4) bedrooms, two (2) bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, in law unit, detached garage, and backyard with one swing set. ON-LIMIT areas: Dining room, kitchen, bedroom (play room), hallway bathroom and backyard with one swing set. The Isolation area is in the bedroom (play room). OFF-LIMIT areas: Bedrooms 1-3, Primary Bathroom, in law unit, and detached garage. The off-limits areas are blocked off and made inaccessible to children in care. Medicines, cleaning products, and sharp objects are stored inaccessible to children in care during today's inspection. The home maintains a working telephone. Licensee was reminded that smoking is not allowed in a family childcare home. Licensee stated that there is one (1) dog in the home. Licensee stated there are no firearms or ammunition stored in the home. SEE LIC809-C----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PAGE 2 There is a 2A10BC fire extinguisher and working smoke and carbon monoxide detector located in the home . Children files and facility files were reviewed, and facility also contains a Children's Roster and Fire/Disaster Drill. The last documented fire and earthquake drill was conducted on 07/25/2025 . Licensee's Mandated Reporter training expires 09/2026 and CPR/Pediatric First Aid certifications expires 03/2026 . LPA toured the backyard and observed it was fenced. LPA observed there are no pools, hot tubs or other bodies of water. The home is sanitized and orderly in compliance with Title 22 Regulations during today's inspection, with heating and ventilation for the safety and comfort of children in care. Licensee was reminded that all adults (18 and over) living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children which includes employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with Licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed Licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. SEE LIC809-C---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PAGE 3 On this date, 10/09/2025, the California Attorney General - Megan\342\200\231s Law website was searched for information on sex offenders required to register with local law enforcement under California's Megan's Law. No registered sex offenders were found at the facility addresses. Under state law, some registered sex offenders are not subject to public disclosure; therefore, they may not have been included in this search. However, the Department conducts a monthly cross reference of each address on record for all registered sex offenders against all CCLD facility addresses pursuant to information shared by California DOJ. Licensee owns home and provided proof of control of property. No Deficiencies were observed during today's visit. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
