What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Sidney Cortez conducted an unannounced annual inspection Present for this inspection are 4 fingerprint cleared staff members (including the administrator-Lucy Larson) and 6 infants. The facility operates Monday - Friday 08:00AM-5:15 PM . The facility has age appropriate furniture and napping equipment that was observed to be in good condition. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children were inaccessible during the visit. The kitchen/food preparation and storage areas appear to be clean and free of evidence of rodents. Food is protected against contamination. Menus are posted and visible for parents to review. There are no pools or similar bodies of water at this facility. Outdoor activity space and playground equipment was observed to be safe and free of hazards. There is a shaded area provided for the children The facility is operating within its licensed capacity. The facility is within ratio today with one teacher supervising no more than 4 Infants. LPA did not observe any child left without visual supervision during the inspection. LPA verified both opening and closing staff have current CPR/First aid training. A physical census was taken of all children present and crossed referenced with the sign in and out sheets. The director understands that prior to working or volunteering in a licensed child care facility, all individuals subject to criminal record review shall obtain a clearance or criminal record exemption. A sample of children\342\200\231s records were reviewed. Files reviewed contained emergency information and health assessments. Staff records reviewed have required health screening. Teachers present today meet the qualification requirements. First aid supplies are available in the office, classroom play area. There are (1) fully charged fire extinguisher (3A40BC), carbon monoxide detector and working phone number. There is sign in/out sheet in the lobby for parent's full signature. CPR and First Aid certificates are current for at least one person on site and will expire on February 2025 (Jasmin Valle). The last fire drill was conducted May 23,2023 . A child care roster and personnel report was obtained. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. This facility does not provides IMS to children in care at this time.
