What the inspector wrote

On February 9, 2023, at 1:25 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Caroline Colson met with Emilde Baldissarella, her assistants Carmen Di Domenico and Elaine Da Silva for an unannounced required random annual inspection. There are 4 infants and 5 preschool children present. The home was toured to conduct a Health and Safety Inspection. The facility's operating hours are Mondays - Fridays 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM . Indoor Space : The home is a two one home. The home consist of two bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, kitchen with dinning area, family room, fenced front yard, fenced side yard, fenced back yard and converted garage. The isolation area is the living room. There is 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working carbon monoxide and a working smoke detector. She has central heating in the main area of the home. There is a screened wall heater in the family room for the children. Mrs. Baldissarella states that there are no firearms in the home. There are toys available for the children. Her CPR and First Aid certificates are current and expire on July 31, 2023. Mandated Reporter Training Certificate is current and expires on June 14, 2024. She has one dog. Outdoor Space : The fenced back yard and fenced side yard are for out door play. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Safe Sleep LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee, Emilde Baldissarella and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee Emilde Baldissarella of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Notice of Site Visit A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit Interview Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Emilde Baldissarella.
