What the inspector wrote

On 8/25/21 at 9:15am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michelle Sutton conducted an announced Case Management at Patty's Pinole Child Care. Licensee has requested to reactivate the license from inactive status. This School Age program is located behind Collins Elementary School. The program is conducted out of two free standing portables, Portable A and Portable B. LPA toured the Center with the Owner/Director Patty Salinas and her husband inside and out for a health and safety inspection. At 9:15am LPA inspected the Portable A and Portable B. There is a fire extinguisher near the front door (size of 2A10BC). There are working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a fire pull system installed and first aid supplies. Furniture & Equipment are age and sized appropriate. The Heating and lighting was adequate.There is adequate storage for children's belongings. All proper documents that need to be posted are posted in a highly visible place for parental review. Drinking water is regularly available for children. LPA observed Portable A boxes and storage area and reminded licensee that it should be clean before operating Child Care. There are no bathrooms in both portables, Licensee stated that the students and staff utilize restrooms located on Collins Elementary School campus. Students will be escorted to and from to the restrooms. Cleaning products and hand sanitizer are kept inaccessible to children. At 9:45am LPA inspected play yard for Patty's Pinole Child Care. LPA observed play yard is fenced and free of miscellaneous debris or hazards. Licensee stated that t he program utilize the elementary school play ground for outside play activities also. The climbing structure & play equipment is properly anchored to the ground with adequate and appropriate cushioning under them. The play ground is free of miscellaneous debris or hazards. All required form was discussed for children, teachers and facility files. LPA discussed Assembly Bill (AB) 1207 (Mandated Child Abuse Reporting Training) which is required training that began on January 1, 2018 and requires renewal every two years. Licensee will email childcareadvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov for PINs GUARDIAN system was discussed (PINs 20-20 / 21-01 / 21-02 CCLD) guardianloginsupport@dss.ca.gov At 10:50am an exit interview was conducted with Licensee, Patty Salinas the report was discussed and signed. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. License is approved to be put back on active status starting August 30, 2021.
