What the inspector wrote
On 09/18/2025 at 12:32PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kareeca \342\200\234Reeca\342\200\235 Sykes met with Licensee Danitza Bravo for an
Unannounced Annual/Required Inspection
. Present during the inspection was the licensee, the licensee's assistant, the licensee's adult daughter, the licensee's adult son, and three (2) infants and one preschool aged child in care. Residing in the home is the Licensee, the licensee's spouse, the licensee's mother, and the licensee's two adult children (son and daughter). All adults in the home are fingerprint cleared. The licensee\342\200\231s home was toured for a health and safety inspection. The facility operates Monday - Friday 7:30AM \342\200\223 6PM.
The home is a two story home that consists of four (4) bedrooms, two and a half (2 1/2) bathrooms, kitchen/nook, living room, family room, dining room, garage, ADU (which is converted to an office space located in the backyard) and backyard. The entrance to the day care is through the front door. The inside and outside of the home were observed to be neat, clean with age-appropriate materials and toys for the children. Toxins, medications, and hazardous materials were observed to be in inaccessible areas during todays inspection.
LPA observed the following precautions accessible cabinets and drawers in the kitchen have safety latches and the fire place is blocked off and made inaccessible to children in care.
Licensee stated there are no pets or firearms in the home. LPA did observe a pond in the backyard which is completely fenced off and meets all regulations guidelines.

The living room, family room, dining room, kitchen/nook, 1/2 bathroom, backyard (not including the three sheds or fenced off pond area)

The entire upstairs (Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2 , Bedroom 3, Bedroom 4, Bathroom 1 , Bathroom 2, The Sheds in the backyard, the ADU (office - located in the backyard), the fenced off pond area located in the backyard, and the garage.
ISOLATION AREA:
In a section of the living room, away from other children in care
The home has a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector in the hallway and a working telephone, and all required forms are posted. The licensee conducts and documents fire and disaster drills twice a year with the last one conducted on
05/02/25.
The licensee's
CPR and First Aid certificate
is current and expires on
04/06/2026
. The Licensee was reminded of the responsibility as a
mandated reporter
and has provided proof of the required training for all people caring for children which expires on
05/30/26
. LPA reviewed six children\342\200\231s files and one staff file at 1:35PM and obtained a current facility roster. The licensee is incompliance with the immunization law.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at

and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. . Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
During the exit interview, the Licensee Danitza, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.
