What the inspector wrote

On June 08, 2023 at 9:40 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Manel Estoesta conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year Visit. LPA met with the site Director Alyssa Rivera and explained the nature of the inspection. Present during the visit were 30 school age children and 6 staff members. The facility operates from Monday to Friday 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. Currently the facility is on their Summer program from 06/05/2023 - 08/05/2023. LPA conducted a health and safety inspection with the Director. The facility has shared Multi-Purpose Room, Science Room, Library and Outdoor play area with Alamo Elementary School. The School Age program is currently operating in the Licensed Portable Classroom. Facility follows the posting requirement. Restroom for children and staff to use were observed to be in safe and sanitary operating conditions. There were no bodies of water observed. Furniture and equipment were in good condition. Floors were clean and safe were free of hazards. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons, and other items that are dangerous to children were stored inaccessible to children. Outdoor activity space is fenced, play equipment and other activity room were maintained in a safe condition and free of hazards. There were shaded rest areas for children. Drinking water is arranged to be readily available for children in care. LPA observed fire extinguishers, First Aid Kit, and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. The conducts Fire and Disaster Drills. Facility does not provide transportation for children. Children lunch are prepared and brought from home and facility provide snacks for the children. ***************SEE 809 C************* Continuation.... LPA obtained copies of the program Children and Staff Roster. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. There are no deficiencies cited on this visit. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Alyssa Rivera.
