What the inspector wrote

On 07/17/2025 at 11 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Kareeca "Reeca" Sykes and Jamel Maiwandi conducted a Plan of Correction inspection at Yvette Collins Large Family Childcare Home. LPA's met with Licensee Yvette Collins and explained the purpose of today's inspection. During today's inspection, there were 11 children in care (three (3) preschoolers and seven (7) school age) with three (3) assistants. Licensee stated there are 14 children enrolled. All staff caring and supervising children have Criminal Record Clearance. The facility operates Monday-Friday 4AM-7PM. LPA's are following up on Type B citation from reports dated on 05/21/2025 for Health and Safety Code (Pool Requirements not met) Licensee submitted the plan of correction on 05/22/2025 via email. During today's inspection LPA's did a thorough inspection on the in- ground pool verifying that it meets all Health and Safety Requirements. Licensee has installed a mesh fence completely surrounding the pool, has a pool cover and LPA's observed the licensee's assistant successfully walk across, and a pool alarm, with the appropriate pool hooks and safety devices. On 05/21/2025 Licensee agreed to have the backyard as an OFF-LIMITS area until the pool was back in compliance. After today's visit LPA's informed the Licensee that the backyard is back as an ON-LIMIT area as on 07/17/2025 LPA will provide Licensee a letter stating that the Plan of Correction has been cleared for the Type B citation today, 07/17/2025. During today's inspection, there were no violations observed. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee, Yvette Collins. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 consecutive days.
