What the inspector wrote

On 07/25/2025 at 11:10 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christina Watts conducted a Case Management Inspection at Aim High Child Care Center. LPA met with Director, LaKisha Sloan and explained the purpose of today's inspection. During today's inspection, there were 21 school age children with 5 staff in 1 classroom. Director stated there are 43 school age children enrolled. All staff supervising and caring for children have Criminal Record Clearance. LPA is following up on an self reported Unusual Incident Report submitted to licensing on 06/19/2025 and 06/27/2025. LPA toured the facility, observed classrooms, reviewed files, conducted interviews and obtained relevant documents. LPA has determined for the incident that was reported on 06/27/2025, facility was in compliance with California Code of Regulations, Title 22. LPA investigated the self reported incident that occurred 06/19/2025. Video footage of 06/13/2025 shows C1 and C2 at a table for an activity when it was observed that C1's hands went under the table and C1's hand ended up under the shirt of C2. Video footage shows while staff was there when the incident occurred, staff did not witness the incident occurring. California Code of Regulations, Title 22 states children are to be visually supervised by staff at all times. Facility is out of compliance with California code of Regulations, Title 22. LPA Christina Watts informed Director, LaKisha Sloan that this report dated 07/25/2025 documents a Type B citation. Type B citation(s) are a potential risk(s) to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care. *SEE LIC 809-D FOR DEFICIENCIES* Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, LaKisha Sloan. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 consecutive days.
