What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cherie Acosta conducted an unannounced annual inspection. There were 6 staff and 29 children present during the inspection. Furniture and equipment was observed to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children were inaccessible during the visit. The toilets and sinks were in operable condition. The floors were free of tripping hazards. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. Outdoor activity space was inspected. The facility does not provide lunch or snacks. Children bring lunch and snack from home. The facility does have food on site if needed. The facility is operating within its licensed capacity. The facility is within ratio today with one teacher supervising no more than 12 children. LPA did not observe any child left without visual supervision or unattended during the inspection. LPA verified both opening and closing staff have current CPR/First aid training. Facility is located on site of Delta Valley Health Club. The preschool is located in the same building as Delta Valley Health Club's swimming pool. There is a 5 foot barrier that separates the preschool from the lobby and swimming pool area. LPA provided PIN 25-01-CCP to licensee to ensure compliance with AB 2866 A sample of staff and children\342\200\231s records were reviewed. Fire/Disaster drill are conducted at least once every six months. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPA reviewed storage of \342\200\234medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platform. To receive important licensed-related information to licensed facilities, visit the CCLD Important Information website at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/community-care-licensing/subscribe and select the Child Care option to receive email communication. Facility has submitted a written attestation, and corresponding Facility Sketch (LIC 999), on 1/9/24 which indicate there are no water outlets used for, or made accessible to children to use for, food preparation or drinking water, and therefore are not required to test any water outlets per Health and Safety Code 1597.16 at this time. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. There are no deficiencies cited during today\342\200\231s inspection. A notice of site visit was provided and must be posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100 . Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Rachel Glenn.
