What the inspector wrote

On 12/3/2025 at 9:45AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jaleesa Jackson met with Licensee Ani Krasteva for an Unannounced Annual/Random visit. Present during the inspection was the Licensee, her fingerprint cleared assistant, 5 infants, and 3 preschool age children. Licensee resides in the home with her fingerprint cleared husband and their minor son. The facility operates from 8:30AM \342\200\223 5:00PM, Monday - Friday. ON LIMITS AREA: Family Room (Nap Area), Living Room (Play Area), Dining Area (Play Area), Downstairs Bathroom, and Backyard OFF LIMITS AREA: Kitchen, Garage, and Entire Upstairs (4 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms) ISOLATION AREA: Family Room The facility is a two-story home owned by the Licensee. The inside of the home is observed to have age-appropriate materials for the children. During today's visit all toxins, cleaning products, personal medications, and hazardous materials were observed to be in inaccessible areas. Licensee has stated that there are no firearms and no pets in the home. The home has a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher. The home has a working carbon monoxide detector and smoke detector. All napping equipment is clean, free from defects and properly maintained. Children bring their own lunches from home. All food that is brought from the children\342\200\231s home is properly labeled and stored. Licensee stated that she does not transport children. Continued 809-C LPA reviewed 8 children's files. LPA observed during file review that there were 5 infants present after verifying their ages. Licensee stated that 1 infant was not supposed to be there that day and they are usually a drop in during the afternoon after other children have left. LPA reminded Licensee that she needs to be in ratio at all times and follow the ratio that is listed on her License. Licensee understood and had the infant picked up. Licensee's Pediatric CPR and First Aid training are complete and expires 9/20/2026. Licensee's Mandated Reporter Training is complete and expires 6/10/2026. All required forms are posted and visible for public view. Licensee conducts and documents disaster drills. The last disaster drill was documented on 11/26/2025. There was 1 deficiency cited during today's inspection. See 809-D for deficiency. LPA Jackson informed licensee Ani Krasteva that this report dated 12/3/2025 document 1 Type A citation which shall be posted for 30 consecutive days as there is/are immediate risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care. Also, LPA Jackson informed the licensee to provide a copy of this licensing report dated 12/3/2025 that documents any Type A citation to parents/guardians of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224), or other written statement, must be placed in the child's file for verification. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Continued on 809-C LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for and removing any recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. During the exit interview, the Licensee Ani Krasteva, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.
