Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cherie Acosta conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection. The purpose of the inspection was to ensure compliance with AB2866 pool safety requirements. LPA met with licensee Liliane Bader. There were 4 preschool aged children and 1 school aged child in care LPA observed licensee's pool to be partly enclosed by a mesh fence. The family room and first floor bedroom have windows that open to the pool and therefore make the pool accessible. The mesh fence has a self closing/latching gate that opens away from the pool. The fence does not obstruct the view of the pool. Licensee has a pool alarm that sounds upon entry to the pool. Licensee has a life ring with a 20 inch diameter that is labeled approved by the United States Coast Guard. Licensee does have a rescue pole however the pole is adjustable and not a fixed length as required. See 809-D for deficiencies cited today. Notice of Site Visit was provided and must be posted for 30 days. Exit interview and report reviewed with Liliane Bader..
