Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cherie Acosta conducted an unannounced Required 3 year inspection. LPA met with acting site director Terri Hunter. Program Director Tina Daigre is no longer on site during operating hours. There were 21 staff and 127 children present during the inspection, of children present today there were 7 children in the toddler option and 120 preschool children. Furniture and equipment was observed to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children were inaccessible during the visit. The toilets and sinks were in operable condition. The floors were free of tripping hazards. The kitchen/food preparation and storage areas were observed to be clean. Food is protected against contamination. All storage containers for solid waste have tight-fitting covers that are in good repair. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. Menus are posted and visible for parents to review. Outdoor activity space and playground equipment was observed to be safe and free of hazards. Climbing equipment is properly anchored to the ground with adequate and appropriate cushioning material to absorb falls. The facility is operating within its licensed capacity. The facility is within ratio today with one teacher supervising no more than 12 preschool children. Toddler program is in ratio with one teacher supervising no more than 6 toddlers. LPA did not observe any child left without visual supervision or unattended during the inspection. LPA verified both opening and closing staff have current CPR/First aid training. A sample of staff and children\342\200\231s records were reviewed. Fire/Disaster drill are conducted at least once every six months. Acting director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPA reviewed storage of \342\200\234medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. LPA also informed licensee [or facility representative] of the importance of checking for and removing any recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platform. Facility's building was constructed in 2017. Lead testing is not required. Director was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. There are no deficiencies cited today. A notice of site visit was provided and must be posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100 . Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Terri Hunter.
