What the inspector wrote

On June 14, 2023 at 8:45 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nyeesha Blount conducted an unannounced case management inspection for an Unusual incident report that was reported on June 2, 2023. During today's inspection was (6) staff members,(19) toddler,(16) preschool children present.LPA observed during snack time each child has there own lunch bag that is stored in private cubicles and passed out to each child. LPA met with Director Melissa Tabique she advised that the teacher Saeeda Hussain had only worked at the facility for (2 1/2 weeks). Director stated after she was hired she noticed some thing that didn't sit too well with her how she was engaging with the children being very firm and harsh, Also falsifying her time that she was coming to work, stating she was coming in at 9:00AM but video footage confirmed different times. Her first week she left work early advising the director she had to leave due to the Leader of Pakistan had got arrested, Which would have put the school in jeopardy with staying in Ratio Compliance, leaving the director to cover her shift. Director stated she was off work when the issued occurred she was notified by (2) staff members that the teacher did not allow the child to eat his lunch stating it was too sugary and should promote healthy eating. On May 31, 2023 Director had a conversation with the teacher advising her that the behavior of not allowing children to eat is not acceptable and we do not promote that here at this facility, Also Director advised teacher of her falsifying time card activities and she began to get upset stating she could not work here and she would finish her work shift but would not be returning. On June 1st 2023 was her last work day at the facility. On June 7, 2023 Director reached out advising if she wanted to pick up her last week pay check, teacher advised Director to mail check to her home address. Director stated she sent a group texts out to all the staff in regards to this situation and advising that we are never to deny children what is packed in there lunches, Director stated we don't know what parents are going through during these challenging times just to make sure there children are eating. Director states she has never had any issues or concerns at her facility with her staff except this recent particular one which she felt she should report.
