What the inspector wrote

On 03/14/2025 at 1:30 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Christina Watts and Jamel Maiwandi conducted a unannounced Case Management inspection - Licensee Initiated at Imagination Academy. Facility has requested to add the front play yard as an on limit area for children. LPAs met with Director, Bernice Black and explained the purpose of today's visit. During today's inspection, there were 34 preschool children in care with 6 staff including the Director in 4 classrooms. Director stated there are 45 preschool children enrolled. All staff present caring and supervising children have Criminal Record Clearance.A health and safety inspection was conducted for the outside and the measurements are as follows: OUTDOORS: 1915.2 square feet = 25 children LPAs obsered the play yard to be is fenced in all around. There were safe and age appropriate toys, play equipment and materials observed for children with play structures age rated from 2- 5 years old per Director. LPAs observed resilient padding that were cushioned to absorbs falls. LPAs suggested canopy, tarp or sun shade to be used to provide sufficient shade in the front play yard. Director stated she will install sufficient shade in the front play yard for children. Director stated drinking water is arranged to be readily available to children during outdoor activities. Director was reminded to ensure that outdoor play area will be free of any hazard and to inspect the outdoor play area daily. LPA has requested an updated facility sketch to include the front outdoor play area. Director stated a facility sketch will be submitted to licensing by COB today. As of 03/14/2025, the front outdoor play area has been approved for on limit use. During today's inspection, there were no violations observed. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, Bernice Black. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 consecutive days.
