What the inspector wrote

On 3/12/2026 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Dana Santiago and Jamel Maiwandi met with Director Jeni Smith for a Licensee Initiated - Case Management inspection for a capacity increase to the infant license. The facility is requesting to add eight (8) infants to previous capacity of six (6) infants and add an infant classroom. LPAs toured the facility for a Health and Safety check. INDOORS: 531.31 square feet = approved for 14 children OUTDOORS: 1,237.10 square feet = approved for 14 children Contra Costa County Fire Protection District approved a fire clearance on 02/17/2026 and Community Care Licensing received the fire clearance on 2/18/2026. The center was observed to be neat and clean with ample age appropriate materials for the children. The center has a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher. The center has a working smoke detector in each classroom, and a working carbon monoxide detector in each classroom. The facility has a pull down fire alarm system connected directly to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District. The facility's request for a capacity increase of 8 additional infants (ages from birth to 2 years old) is approved effective today, 03/12/2026. The total capacity for the Infant component is 14. Exit Interview conducted. Report reviewed with Jeni Smith and a copy provided. A notice of Site Visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days.
