What the inspector wrote

On 01/22/2025 at 9:40 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Christina Watts and Kayla Merchant conducted an Unannounced Subsequent Complaint Investigation at The Learning Experience. LPA met with Director, Nicole Neely and explained purpose of investigation. Finding for the above allegation was delivered during the inspection. During today's inspection, there 75 preschool children in care with 10 staff in 6 classrooms. Director stated there are 101 preschool children enrolled. Complainant alleges that Staff inappropriately disciplines children in care. During the course of the investigation, LPA inspected the facility, reviewed records and conducted interviews. It was determined that staff has inapproproiately discipline children in care. Based on the interviews and information obtained throughout the investigation, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met. Therefore, the allegation is SUBSTANTIATED. California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12 is being cited on 9099-D page. Exit interview was conducted with Director, Nicole Neely. Appeal rights were provided. A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND MUST BE POSTED FOR 30 CONSECTIVE DAYS.
