What does Type A vs Type B mean?
Type A. Serious citation. Imminent or substantial risk to children. The regulator requires corrective action immediately and may impose a civil penalty.
Type B. Lower-severity citation. Corrective action required, no imminent risk. The regulator monitors compliance on the next visit.

PERSONAL RIGHTS
Personal Rights. The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: To be accorded dignity in his/her personal relationships with staff and other persons. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: A child in care was kicked in the face by another child resulting in a minor injury. Incident was not witnessed by staff. This posses an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care.

Health-Related Services. The licensee shall immediately notify the child's authorized representative if the child becomes ill or sustains an injury more serious than a minor cut or scratch. The licensee shall obtain specific instructions from the authorized representative regarding action to be taken. In the case of less serious injuries including, but not limited to, minor cuts, scratches and bites from other children requiring assessment and/or administration of first aid by staff, the licensee shall document the injury in the child's record and notify the child's authorized representative of the nature of the injury when the child is picked up from the center. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: C1's authorized representative was not provided an accident/injury report on two occasions which poses a potential risk to the health and safety of children in care

DRINKING WATER
Drinking Water. Drinking water from a noncontaminating fixture or container shall be readily available both indoors and in the outdoor activity area. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: During LPA's visit on 5/5/23 LPA observed drinking water was not available to children during outdoor play.
