Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cherie Acosta conducted an unannounced visit to investigate the above allegation. LPA met with Director Autumn Brooks. During the investigation LPA conducted interviews and observed staff interaction with children. Staff use a hand over hand method to assist the children in picking up toys. Staff place their hand over the child's hand to guide them. Based on evidence from the investigation, LPA was not able to determine if this was done in a rough manner. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is deemed unsubstantiated.
