What the inspector wrote

he attached type A violation is cited today and must be corrected by the due date. Upon receipt, licensee shall post and provide copies of this licensing report to parents/guardians of children in care at the facility and to parents/guardians of children newly enrolled at the facility during the next 12 months. All parents/guardians must sign an acknowledgement form of proof of receiving this report (LIC 9224). The LIC 9224 must be placed in the child's file to be reviewed by licensing. Exit Interview was conducted with Leslie Ramirez Notice of Site Visit was provided and must be posted for 30 days. · The attached type A violation is cited today and must be corrected by the due date.     Criminal Record Clearance All individuals subject to a criminal record review pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 1596.871 shall prior to working, residing, or volunteering in a licensed facility: Obtain a California clearance or a criminal record exemption as required by the Department. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Licensee's two adult daughter that reside in the home were not fingerprint cleared during the inspection on 10/27/21.

    Operation of a Family Child Care Home. The home shall be free from defects or conditions which might endanger a child. Safety precautions shall include but not be limited to: All licensees shall ensure the inaccessibility of pools (in-ground and above-ground), fixed-in-place wading pools, hot tubs, spas, fish ponds and similar bodies of water through a pool cover or by surrounding the pool with a fence. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: LPA observed the pool was not properly fenced and was accessible to children which poses an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care.

    Infant Safe Sleep. There shall be one crib or play yard for each infant who is unable to climb out of the crib or play yard. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: During the inspection on 10/27/21 licensee had two infants in care and only one pack and play which poses an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care.

    Infant Safe Sleep The provider shall supervise infants while they are sleeping and adhere to the following requirements: If the infant is sleeping in a separate room from where the provider is stationed, the door to the room the infant is sleeping in shall remain open at all times. The provider shall be able to visually observe the infant without moving the door. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Infants were put down for naps in rooms with closed doors and no visual supervision. One infant was placed in a infant rocker to sleep in the garage.
