Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cherie Acosta conducted an unannounced case management visit. LPA first met with licensee's fingerprint cleared assistant as licensee was doing school pick ups. Licensee arrived shortly after LPA's arrival. There were 4 preschool aged children, 7 school aged children and 1 infant in care. Licensee has installed a mesh fence around the dining room window in an attempt to come in to compliance with AB2866 pool safety requirements. AB2866 requires that pools have an enclosure that isolates the swimming pool from access to the family daycare home. Licensee was informed on 7/7/25 that surrounding the window does not meet this requirement. Licensee also has a hot tub near the pool that is covered, however the cover does not lock. See 809-D for deficiency cited today. Notice of Site Visit was provided and must be posted for 30 days. Exit interview and report reviewed with Janelle Ligon.
