What the inspector wrote

On 07/20/22, Licensing Program Analyst (LPAs) Melissa Guirit and Melissa Domantay met with Director, Melissa Cady for an unannounced complaint investigation and to deliver the findings to the above complaint allegation. Present for the visit are Director, 6 staff, 37 children. Staff interviews were conducted during today's visit. Based on LPA's interviews with staff, it was indicated that staff is arguing in front of children in care. The preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be substantiated. California Code of Regulations, 101223 is being cited today on the 9099-D page. The attached type B deficiency is being cited today and must be corrected by the due date. Notice of site visit was posted at the time of the inspection and must be posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and appeal rights were provided and discussed with Director, Melissa Cady

This requirement was not met as evidenced by staff interviews that indicated that there have been instances where staff has argued in front of the children in care. This poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care.
