On 07/20/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melissa Domantay met with Director/Owner Asmita Bhargava. The facility has submitted an application for the School Age classroom to be utilized by Preschool Program when School Age children are not present. The School Age Program will operate Monday: 1:00PM - 6:00PM. The Grizzly Bear Classroom, will only be utilized by School Age Program when preschool children are not present, from 1:00PM-6:00PM. The main playground in the back of the facility is shared by both preschool and school age children. Director has submitted a schedule to ensure preschool children and school age children do not commingle during outdoor play time. Per Director, school age children will utilize the shared main preschool playground during preschool children's nap time from 1:00PM-3:00PM. LPA conducted a full tour of the facility and the Grizzly Bear Classroom to conduct a health and safety inspection. A fire clearance was received from the San Ramon Valley Fire dated 07/18/23 for 80 preschoolers, ages 2 years to first grade entry and 30 school age children ages 4.9-13 years. Facility is requesting dual use of the School Age classroom (Will be used for preschoolers when school age is not present). LPA observed that there is sufficient heating, lighting and ventilation in the classrooms, and the classroom floors and surfaces are clean and free of hazards. The rooms have an ample supply of age appropriate furniture, toys and equipment which appear to be in good condition. LPA did not observe any bodies of water, hazardous items or toxins that would be accessible to children. LPA observed operating sinks and covered waste cans. The classroom is equipped with a fire extinguisher, and centralized smoke detection systems. The facility has a working telephone and first aid supplies. The Grizzly Bear Classroom is the designated school age classroom and will be added to the Preschool Program license to utilize when school age children are not present with a total capacity of 30 School Age children and 80 preschoolers, total capacity of 110 children is approved as of 7/20/23.
