What the inspector wrote

On 09/27/2024 at 2:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christina Watts conducted a Case Management inspection at Baby Yale Academy PITT. LPA met with Director, Timeesha Mays and explained the purpose of this visit. During today's inspection, there was 1 infant in care with 1 staff in one classroom. Director stated there are 8 infants enrolled. During health and safety inspection, LPA observed 1 staff member supervising and caring for 1 infant. During record review, it was discovered that staff does not have current Criminal Record Clearance. Per California Code of Regulation, Title 22, prior to caring and supervising children, staff are required to have Criminal Record Clearance. The facility is in violation of California Code of Regulation, Title 22. LPA Christina Watts informed Director, Timeesha Mays that this report dated 09/27/2024 documents a Type B citation. Type B citation(s) are a potential risk(s) to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care. *SEE LIC 809-D FOR DEFICIENCIES* Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, Timeesha Mays. Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
