What the inspector wrote

On 05/15/2025 at 2:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christina Watts conducted a case management inspection. LPA met with owner, Lita Reeves and explained the purpose of this visit. During today's inspection, there were 10 school age children with 2 staff in 1 classroom. Owner stated there are 16 school age children enrolled. LPA was investigating an incident at the facility when the LPA obtain photographic evidence of 7-13 school age children and 1 preschool child playing in the play yard with 2 staff. Upon further investigating, it was determined that staff in the photo are not currently fully qualified teachers. California code of regulations state if a facility is caring and supervising school age children, the facility must have 1 fully qualified teacher for 14 children. Also, preschool children and school age children are not to commingle outside of the facility's waiver. The facility is out of California code of regulation, Title 22. LPA Christina Watts informed owner, Lita Reeves that this report dated 05/15/2025 documents 2 Type B citations. Type B citation(s) are a potential risk(s) to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care. Exit interview was conducted with owner, Lita Reeves. Appeal rights were provided. A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND MUST BE POSTED FOR 30 CONSECUTIVE DAYS.
